How DC fast charging works

With DC fast charging, the power conversion happens inside the charger — not inside the car. This allows significantly higher power and much faster charging speeds.

1) Charger converts AC to DC
The station converts grid power into high-power DC electricity before it reaches the vehicle.
2) Car controls charging speed
The vehicle’s battery system (BMS) determines how much power it can safely accept.
3) Speed depends on battery state
Charging is fastest at lower charge levels and optimal battery temperature.
Quick difference
AC: conversion happens inside the car (7–22 kW). DC: conversion happens inside the charger (50–350 kW+ depending on site & car).

Host a DC charger and earn revenue

How you earn
You earn from every charging session on your location (revenue share). Optionally, you can also earn from parking time if your site uses paid parking rules.
